Privacy notice
This notice covers the data of the people who use EasyPort: marina owners, managers and operators. Boaters' data — a marina's own customers — is a different matter: the marina decides about it, and we process it on their behalf under the agreement alongside this page.
Who processes your data
Data controller: [company name, address, VAT number]. For any request about this data: [email address].
What we process, and why
Your email address and password (stored encrypted only, and unreadable to us), so you can sign in. The marina you belong to and your role, so we know what you may do. The address of anyone you invite to work with you, until they join or you withdraw the invitation. The date and time of your sign-ins.
Who did what
When you record an arrival, a departure or a payment, the operation stays linked to you. Two traces remain: the link to your account, which disappears if you delete it, and a snapshot of your name at the time of the operation, which stays. This is needed because a marina's logbook must remain readable even after someone stops working there; on request that snapshot can be anonymised without deleting the entry.
Why we are allowed to
To perform the contract between us: without this data the service cannot work. Keeping the record of operations also serves our and your legitimate interest in being able to reconstruct what happened at a marina.
Where it is, and who touches it
The data sits on OVH servers in Gravelines, France: it stays within the European Union. Service emails — confirmations, password recovery, invitations — go through Mailtrap. These are the only suppliers processing data on our behalf.
For how long
Data stays as long as your account and the marina you work at exist. [Retention period after termination: to be defined.] Backups are kept for fourteen days: data deleted today is fully gone within two weeks.
Your rights
You may ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable form and object to processing. Account deletion is already in the application, under Settings: it asks for your password and shows what will disappear before you confirm. If you are the only owner of a marina where other people work, you must first hand the marina over or close it. For anything else write to [email address]. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data and do not pass it to anyone for their own purposes. We do not profile you and make no automated decisions about you. We do not use your data for advertising.
If this notice changes
Every version carries a date. If something that affects you changes, we will tell you rather than simply rewriting this page.
